Happy Monday!! Welcome to new readers and thank you for being here!
Yesterday was a super day for a lot of people due to the Superbowl. To me it was super because it was super productive!! It seems we have been stuck in a rut here with getting any projects done but somehow yesterday fate stepped in and we were on a roll!
We printed up, framed and hung some of the black and white pics for our photo wall. We will be adding to it as I find frames that I love as I don't want to fill up the space without much thought just to make it look "finished". I had a lot more hanging there but took it down because it just didn't look like "me". It looked rushed and crowded and kind of cheap. I'm waiting for a cute, gold, letter "O" to come from Ballard and I'm sure I will find lovely things as I'm out and about. I usually find them when I'm not actively looking! For now it may look sparse but it is a good template to build on.
Our drop cloth curtains are hung and I love them! They washed and ironed beautifully and I love the way they drape. I just bought 3~ 6' by 9' panels and used curtain clips to hang them from my existing rods. I spent $43.00 for the whole project. $27 for the panels and $21 for clips.
And found the paint to fix the scratches in the living room. We cleaned the dining room floors and had a lovely Sunday dinner in there. We don't use it often enough and I plan on fixing that! New curtains, a fresh coat of paint and some pretty accessories will make it more inviting. We have such a pretty view of the backyard from that room, I really want to enjoy it more. And there's nothing like everyone sitting down together for a good meal and conversation. We are hoping to take out the windows in that room to replace them with French doors that will lead to a brick patio. Now that would really make it more inviting!!

DeleteWe spend so much time and energy thinking about what we need to do, that once we do it, we are like "That wasn't so bad, why did i wait so long"? It looks great!
ReplyDeleteSooo true Luci and thanks!! I just need to get a new camera!!!! Soon!!! Thanks for visiting :)
DeleteOne window at a time! We couldn't use the standard panel clips or install grommets on the panels for a couple reasons... 1) the "rod" is galvanized pipe and once it is up, it is UP for good and you can't thread anything onto the rod. 2) since using the pipe, standard clips and book binding loops look flimsy. So I decided to go with the drape over 'n' pin method. This lets me change out the pins and any bedazzling bangles on a whim! Thanks for sharing your ideas and kicking me into gear. Happy Sunday! ~Weez
